How to perform the cable upright row
- Attach a straight bar to a low pulley on a cable machine. Stand facing the machine, with your feet shoulder-width apart. Grasp the bar with an overhand grip, hands slightly closer than shoulder-width. Keep your arms extended and the bar resting against your thighs. Lift the bar straight up toward your chin, keeping it close to your body, and leading with your elbows. Lower the bar back down to the starting position, maintaining control throughout the exercise.
