How to perform the upright row

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell with an overhand grip, hands slightly closer than shoulder-width. Keep your arms extended and the barbell resting against your thighs. Lift the barbell straight up toward your chin, keeping it close to your body, and leading with your elbows. Lower the barbell back down to the starting position, maintaining control throughout the exercise.
