How to perform the sumo squat
- Stand with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart, toes pointed out slightly, and a barbell positioned across your upper back. Hold the barbell with an overhand grip, hands slightly wider than shoulder-width. Engage your core and bend at your hips and knees, lowering your body into a squat position. Keep your chest up and your back straight, ensuring your knees track over your toes and do not cave in. Drive through your heels to return to the starting position, fully extending your hips and knees.
