How to perform the standing cable glute kickbacks

  1. Attach an ankle strap to a low cable pulley. Stand facing the cable machine and secure the strap around your right ankle. Hold onto the machine for support and shift your weight onto your left leg, keeping a slight bend in the knee. Engage your core and kick your right leg back, squeezing your glutes at the top of the movement. Slowly return your right leg to the starting position, maintaining control throughout the exercise. Complete the desired number of reps on one side before switching to the other leg.
